The Origins of Voice Dialogue Camp
Voice Dialogue was founded in the 1970’s by Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone and has since grown to be an internationally practiced methodology in the fields of psychology, business and spiritual practice. An important phase of the history of Voice Dialogue trainings were the two weeks-long residential Summerkamp trainings that Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone conducted for 10 years in northern California back in the 80's and 90's. These immersion 'kamps' were fertile events for initiating people into the work as well as cultivating new facilitator's and teachers of Voice Dialogue. Because the Stones no longer offer this type of residential training, and their advanced weeklong programs are also fewer in number, Voice Dialogue Center NW has put this program together to create an opportunity for you to learn from and be supported by the next generation of mature Voice Dialogue teachers.
Voice Dialogue Camp will be closely related in intent and form to those original Summerkamps, with the core Voice Dialogue curriculum taught by J'aime ona Pangaia and a variety of special workshops and Voice Dialogue facilitation by senior teachers: Miriam Dyak (WA), Dorsey Cartwright, LCSW (TX) and Susan Filley, LMFT (WA). In addition, two other experienced facilitators will be on staff. The maturity of these Voice Dialogue teachers and facilitator's is exceptional and this is the first time so many senior Voice Dialogue teachers will be convened to teach Voice Dialogue together.
