Photo of J'aime ona Pangaia, Hal & Sidra StoneVoice Dialogue is an elegant psycho-spiritual process that helps us become more aware individuals and freer from negative self (and other) judgments. For our relationships, it helps us to learn from and accept each other, as we are. It opens up our capacity to be energetically more open and connected while at the same time, have a clear sense of our individual nature. Philosophically, Voice Dialogue has natural affinity with both Jungian, Gestalt and Archetypal psychology and in a secular way, with Buddhism. As such, it offers it's own novel approaches to the consciousness path. For organizations, it offers a new model for conscious leadership and whole system relationships beyond partisan judgments and departmental frictions.

Voice Dialogue & Facilitator Training
A two year Transformational Arts Program

Why take a two year Voice Dialogue Facilitator program...

~ if you don't have an interest in offering Voice Dialogue professionally?
~ or if you've already taken a short(er) facilitator training class?
Voice Dialogue work falls into the realm of psycho-spiritual process work. It's goal is to help cultivate a more accessible consciousness experience that we call the "Aware Ego Process'. This is a transitory state in which we not only become aware of the experience of selves within ourself, but through which we can also make compassionate, free choices. The earliest stage of this work is centered on discovering these inner selves and how they operate within us and in relationship with others. Then, we begin to paradoxically embrace and dis-identify from them. Hardest are those we think are 'truly' us! Later, we develop the capacity for an Aware Ego Process, but it's fragile and easily lost. Like any psycho-spiritual practice, this work takes time, consistency and support to really take hold. When I teach this work I like to encourage those who use it for their personal psycho-spiritual process to learn to facilitate others. Why? Simply because you have to be able to engage an Aware Ego Process yourself, while you are facilitating. So, it's excellent practice just for you, aside from the benefit you can bring to someone else!
I teach Voice Dialogue facilitation in shorter programs, but over the years, what I've observed is that those who do best with it either seem to have a rare natural gift or they stay engaged in learning, practice, and a supervision regimen over a period of years. Many people have learned facilitation, but don't continue with the ongoing inner work with seasoned teachers and practitioners, that makes them really good facilitators. That's why I decided to offer this program, to both help more people interested in being facilitators who achieve real competency and become successful at it. This program supports people to have a truly transformational life experience by providing a larger container of time, related practices, and shared community.
Why else would you participate in this program?
Because, Psyche calls, then pushes. We can feel the nudge as that sinking feeling that in spite of everything, there is still something that wants to happen through and in us. When we don't follow our souls path, life gets more difficult and empty. Once we recognize this, there's work to do, and it's usually in the form of an 'un-doing' in order to clear the way for a Soul-full life. This program brings you into a community of people who are also at the threshold of a profound change and who want to engage in a community of practice to initiate the next period of life. The Transformational Arts Program utilizes six elements to support you: Voice Dialogue, Archetypal and Mythic studies, Dream Work, Movement, Contemplative, and Creative Arts practices.
You'll experience the mindful character work of Voice Dialogue, in order to discover, unhook from and paradoxically embrace the inner selves that make up your ego. Developing an 'Aware Ego Process' opens new ways of relating to yourself, others and the world. This program will take you through all the stages of Voice Dialogue: from foundational learning and personal experience, to developing competency as a facilitator.
Study of archetypal psychology, myth and fairy tales will inform and guide your relationship with your dreams and the myths and fairy tales you've been enacting in your life. You'll engage in movement practices in order to develop more awareness of how Self and energy moves and expresses in your body. You'll practice simple meditation in order to tend the grounds for dispassionate, compassionate awareness and witnessing. Together, we'll tend our dreams and feel how the currents of Psyche move between dream and waking life. And you'll engage in material creative practices to reveal the images that soul reveals to us, in non-rational, non-linear ways. Lastly, we discover how our practice of these arts prepare us to live at a higher level of service and enjoyment.
The structure of this program includes community retreats that draw us together in person to engage our personal process in a mutually held container of teachers and fellow initiates. Between the twice yearly retreats we will individually pursue and practice these five elements, with the support of monthly teleconferences and our connection to a cohort. The Transformational Arts Program is designed to hold a far flung group of individuals in a deep and safe container to move us on our souls path.

Why I'm going to Voice Dialogue Summer Camp

Stepping stonesOur world is in a period of deep novelty and change. Our foundational systems are being challenged and now is the best time to initiate practical psychic development to meet these times creatively. Our usual strategies for living need help and updating.
Next July, give yourself and community the support you need to meet life challenges and inner conflict with more compassion, creativity and soulfulness. Deepen your relationships, learn in traditional and innovative ways (targeted presentations, movement practice, creative expression and Voice Dialogue facilitation) and develop connections with other consciousness-oriented people who can support each other beyond this event. Whether you are an experienced Voice Dialoguer already or you are just beginning to explore the powerful psycho-spiritual path of the Aware Ego Process, join us for a 10 day residential retreat in the beautiful foothills of Mt. Hood near Portland, Oregon.
