Most of the time, our relationships are held together by either positive or negative bonding patterns. Essentially, this means that we are holding the other person responsible for our vulnerability and it's either feeling safe (positive), or not (negative). In the end, neither works for us, since in positive bonding patterns, we have to disown whatever qualities of ours frightens our partner, and in negative bonding patterns, we each feel misunderstood and hurt by the other. Examining our important relationships for these bonding patterns is a helpful consciousness method for getting out of them. Moving out of bonding patterns in relationships means sharing an Aware Ego Process. Whether you come with a partner or not, you will unravel much of what's derailing your relationships ~ either with stultifying safety, or painful fighting.
